Lisa Fairley earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Native American Studies from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.  Lisa was also accepted, temporarily, into Colgate University in order to participate in their Native American Studies program located in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  While there Lisa volunteered for the Head Start program on the Tesuque Pueblo reservation.  Lisa’s thesis study focused on land claims issues and the economic viability of casinos as related to the Oneida Nation, a tribe located in upstate New York.  Her final work was chosen as part of the Levitt Scholar program in which a select number of Hamilton College seniors are sent to several area elementary and high schools to teach their thesis subject.  While much of her studies focused on history, anthropology, archaeology and religion, the legal process became an interest during Lisa’s intensive land claims study.

Lisa returned to Vermont upon graduation from college and joined the management team at The Sirloin Saloon Restaurant in Manchester Center.  After several years she transitioned to coordinating special fundraising events for Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home.  Lisa then joined the team at Equinox Village, Manchester’s Premier Independent Living Community.  After several years as Services Coordinator, Lisa turned her attention to the legal field and joined McClintock Law Office, P.C. in January of 2012.
